The case and bracelet of this watch are made of fiberglass*.
When designing this model, we consulted with the famous Russian yachtsman Igor Zaretsky, who named a number of watch functions necessary for a yachtsman - navigator. Thanks to another famous yachtswoman Irina Gracheva, the watch was named "Ocean Racer", which took root well.
Both yachtsmen have tested watches in the Atlantic. To date, Ocean Racer has visited all the Poles of the earth and is successfully operated in all seas and oceans of the Planet.

The set of functions of this mechanism is simple and useful for travelers: hours, minutes, seconds and date. The 24-hour scale (Day/Night) and the time of the second GMT time zone are located in two drives at the "3" and "9" o'clock marks.
The tachymeter scale* is located on the bezel.
​​​​​​The glass of the watch is mineral. The phosphor on the dial gives off accumulated light for a long time. For some models, not the entire dial glows in the dark, but only the hour indexes and hands.
The watch is protected from water penetration at a pressure of up to 20 atmospheres.

*Fiberglass is a glass-filled material (70% fiberglass) based on polyester resins, has the strength and durability of metal, biological resistance of polymer (does not rot, does not change color, does not become brittle). At very low temperatures (-40 °C), the fiberglass does not harden and does not shrink. This avoids the phenomenon of cracking of the material. Nevertheless, at high temperatures (100 ° C) it retains its overall shape and stability, does not expand (no deformation!).

**A tachymeter is a device that measures the speed of a car. Knowing how many seconds it takes for a car to travel 1 km, you can determine the approximate average speed per hour during the journey. If the chronograph was started at some time and stopped after 1 km, the average hourly speed can be measured by the position of the second hand.
