Automatic watch 9132/777.6.718

The idea for this watch emerged several years ago after a conversation with the Navy officers. Among the issues discussed were ship repair and maintenance, ship-breaking, and recycling. 6MX designers put forward the idea of making the recycled materials from the ships into new watches. Contrary to our expectations the alloys used in shipbuilding appeared to be unsuitable for watchmaking —they do not meet the anti-corrosion requirements.

Thus, the watch cases are composed of stainless steel 03Х16Н15М3 with only several parts made of the recycled ship scrap which remains its stainless properties.

A Japanese automatic movement 9132 Miyota is installed in a classic round watch case with a diameter of 42 mm. This movement was not chosen by chance - along with its excellent performance, the arrangement of the hands of this watch reproduces that of the 6MX marine chronometer — a precise timekeeping device known to any sailor. Like the marine chronometer, there is a power reserve indicator (up to 40 hours) at 12 o'clock. Additionally, between the axis of the hands and the “6” o'clock position, there is a 24-hour scale, which is of much use for sailors. Just for comparison, a marine chronometer there is a second hand of the clock in this place).

The model with basic features is manufactured in a steel or gold-plated case with a dial reproducing that of a marine chronometer in minute details, including fonts. Can be purchased in white and blue designs. Does not feature a calendar.

Additional design options may include Roman numerals on dials and a date display at 3 o'clock.

The dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. The leather strap has special rigid elements for better fitting to the case. The screw-lock crown incorporates a washer-shaped element made of recycled ship scrap.

Each watch is tested to withstand a pressure of 10 atm.

All design options have a limit of 100 pieces. The serial number of each watch is printed on the dial just like that of a marine chronometer.
